Margurite: Allergies
(Taken from the most recent topic at Renaissance, "allergies", but as the speaker does not fit that collab, it is being posted here)
Michel is allergic to lots of stuff. He's always saying everything's too dusty, or he won't eat somethin' 'cause he's allergic. Or if Therese is being really bad he starts sneezing a lot and says that he's 'obviously developing an allergy to dogs' an' he's gonna throw her out. But then Gabriel grins and whispers to me that Michel's just kidding an' he isn't really allergic to anything. He just likes the attention, that's what Gabriel says. But Michel always hears him an' gets mad an' says Gabriel's being 'insensitive'.
But Gabriel's prob'ly right because Michel likes Therese. He let me take her home when I found her. An' he takes care of her and takes her for walks an' feeds her when I forget an' doesn't even tell Gabriel, 'cause Gabriel says that I'm the one that's supposed to take care of her.
An' Therese likes having people take care of her. She prob'ly was okay by herself…If you know how to find food, you're usually okay. But it does get cold sometimes, an' when you can't find food or you get sick like I did…Well, it's nice to not have to worry about that anymore. An' Therese doesn't, 'cause I take care of her now.
Kinda like Gabriel and Michel take care of me.
